For commerce students career in Banking is one of the Great Career option. Banking Career is one of the preferred career option by the commerce students.There are many career opportunities in the Banking Sector these days as there is a great expansion of the Banking Sector and there is an introduction of the Technology so Banking Sector requires an Skilled and Tech Savvy Human Resource.
As you have completed your Undergraduation you get eligible to apply for the Bank Clerk and Bank PO Exams.
You can make your career in the Private Banking Sector and also in the Government Banking Sector.
If you wish to make a career in the Public Banking Sector, you can make a career either in the SBI Banks or in the rest 21 Government Banks. SBI conducts there own exam for Clerk and PO posts whereas for other banks one needs to give an IBPS exam for Clerk or PO. The eligibility is as follows-
1. A candidate who have completed a Graduation from any stream from a recognised university or who is in the last year of the Graduation and waiting for the result can apply for the Bank exams.
2. Nationality - Indian.
3. Age - 20-30 years; 5 years relaxation for SC/ST , 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Disabled .
If you are want to make a career in the Private Banking Sector than you need to have completed a graduation degree from any stream from a recognised university. You should be less than 25 years of age and must have at least minimum 55% percentage. You need to look for the eligibility criteria for the Private Banks in the Notification issued by them.
While there is no percentage criteria for the Government Bank exams.
I would suggest you to go for the Bank PO exams.
