It's a great dream for all the engineering aspirants.Nice to see your aspirations to join engineering in the top twenty colleges of India. As you might be aware that all the IIT's , a few NIT 's and BIT'S pilani and other few make it to the top colleges of engineering in India. And you might also be aware of the changed entrance examinations pattern. To make it to the top colleges of Indiayou have to have a bright academic profile and you need to qualify JEE Mains and JEE Advanced as well.
As you are appearing for your 12th , you have very little time left for JEE preparations. You have work very hard and honestly put in hours together for preparations . If you are attempting the exam in the next year, then also you have to work very hard as there is a lot of competition , nearly lakhs of students appear for JEE Mains and only 2% qualify for JEE Advanced. Be consistent in your preparations and try to organize your studies in a planned manner. Planning your studies and schedule will help you cover the syllabus quickly, build strong concept foundations, give you time for revisions and clarifications. It will help you to analyse your strengths and weakness and led you to work on your improvement areas or subjects you are not done with. Remember the 3R formula, Read Faster to Revise Faster, Revise Faster to Remember Faster. Create a better mental picture of yourself by eyeing on accomplishments till date.Be Motivated and inculcate a spirit for achievement, a burning desire inside you that you have the will to do it .
Go through the syllabus and sample test in the link below, it will help you to understand better what to study and how to study. Keep too much entertainment at bay and concentrate on studies as 12th syllabus will also aid in your preparations. Talk to your teachers and seniors if any have cracked it and are in good colleges , their insights will help you.
Obtaining good percentiles and getting into very good colleges will not ensure bright future , it is important to work hard and develop employable skills to turn your dreams into reality.
