Dear Aspirant,
Officially, there are no previous CAT or any other MBA Entrance Test papers available. However there are a number of books available in the market for CAT preparation which are in detail, some are in crash course mode or some are in the form of tips.
For scoring 90 percentile (I suggest that you should aim for 95 percentile as minimum), I would suggest you to join a good coaching Institute where you will get good guidance, expert advices, lots of practice and all this will build your confidence.
Best wishes
Hi there,
In terms of getting the previous years papers, there are books available in the market that claims minimum 5years papers attached.
The point here is if you wish to crack CAT with 90 or above percentile, solving just the previous years paper will not help, neither will solving tons of paper help.
The idea here is to understand the logic used and device your own shortcuts to solve the quantitative set. So ideally to learn the concept join classes and then while practicing on your own derive shortcuts.
At the moment solving papers is important but as the exam date approaches best would be to solve the paper within time limit.
Please note the key to such entrance exams is solving maximum questions in a given time frame but the answers must be right.
Hope thiz helps.
Wish you good luck..
CAT requires qualitative, not quantitative preparation. When it comes to CAT preparation, the teachers create the real difference. There are institutes which provide coaching to achieve 90 percentile like Time institute, paramount coaching.
CAT is an exam that tests your expertise in 3 basic fields:-
1.Mathematics and data interpretation.
2. English and reading comprehension.
3.logical reasoning.
If you are serious for CAT, you cannot ignore any one of the sections. One has to be a jack of all the three sections to ace the test, this becomes more important since one never knows what the composition of the CAT paper is going to be next year.
