Banking has been rapidly growing and expanding in different parts of India. Banking is one of the career option that many students aspire to make a career. Banking sector is one of the best career option considered and is the respected profession in the society.

Banking in commerce field is one of the high ranking profession. Its expected that there are large number of people are going to retire from the Banking Sector.

The person who aspires to make a career in the Banking Sector especially in the Public Banking Sector they need to go through the exam. There are two types of Exams are conducted in the Government Banking Sector i.e Bank Clerk and Bank PO.

Bank PO is higher designation offered in the Government Banking Sector. Bank PO exam is conducted for the students who are Graduates. There are two types of Bank PO exam conducted.

The Candidates who aspires to make a career in SBI bank they need to give an SBI PO exam.; whereas the candidate who wish to make a career as PO in any of the Government Banks they need to give an IBPS Bank PO exam. IBPS BANK PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the remaining 21 Government Banks in the Country.

  1. A candidate should have completed a Graduation Degree from any of the stream from a recognised university or a student who are in the final year of the degree and waiting for their results are also eligible to apply for the Bank Exam.

  2. Nationality- Indian
  3. Age- 20 to 30 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for disabled person.

You can apply for the Bank Exams when you are in the 4th year of your Graduation and I would suggest you to score good marks in the Graduation and apply for the Bank PO Officer Exam instead of going for Clerk exam.

You can go through the previous Bank Exam papers to get an idea about the paper pattern and type of questions. Whereas you need to prepare for the Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning and General Awareness. All the syllabus consists of what you have learned till 10th in your school.

I hope you find this information useful and helpful.

Feel free to get in touch again. Wish you Good Luck

Thank You
