Dear friend. Many thanks for your question, here you have not mentioned your academic qualifications and what you are doing at present. Let me tell you first something about fishery scientist and his nature of job, then you will have some idea that how creativity can be important in the job.

The fishery scientist come form a various biological backgrounds, but all are related to effective management, use and conservation of aquatic plants and animals. The fishery scientist as researcher, manager, educator, teacher, and administrator they use their expertise in biology, ecology, genetics, nutrition, breeding, economic policy, administration and law to protect and enhance recreation, commercial, natural fishery resources.

The fishery scientist can hold the research and management positions dealing with species and habitat evaluation. The person of the following background can become a fishery scientist; zoology, microbiology, marine biology, chemistry, statistics. The fishery scientist work on various aquaculture habits such as brackish water, marine water, river, fresh water ponds and artificial aquaculture. The fishery scientist has to work on various disciplines such as fish genetics, fish nutrition, fish microbiology, fish immunology, fish pathology, fish breeding, fish rearing and culture, fish post harvest technology.

The creativity could be some thing new or novel, which is different from the existing things. There could be various creativity aspects in the fishery science. A fishery scientist working a fish breeder can develop a technique which will led to more egg production. The breeding of different species may result in production of new species or with large size or with fast increase in size. A person working on fish nutrition may develop some nutrients which will help in fast and more growth size, increase in protein content or particularly increase in specific amino acids.

A fishery scientist working on microbiology and pathology aspects may develop some techniques to control the disease of fishes and reduce the rate of mortality. Similarly a biotechnologist or immunologist may introduce some genes in fish that will improve the immunity of some person or may reduce the disease in the person.

There are many research opportunities in fishery science, it all depends upon the idea and implementation in practical to create some novelty and creativity.
