Hey there

Thanks for a2a

If you're just confused about engineering then this can help.

  • Open your eleventh and twelfth Physics Text book.
  • Write down areas which excite you
  • If you love newtons law of motion, PE , KE etc basically kinematics and dynamics of physics then taking civil or mechanical would be good
  • If you love solving circuits using ohms, kirchoffs laws etc then take electrical or electronics
  • If you dont have any preference as above but you're good at understanding coding and good at combinatorics[ Permutation and Combination] then go for CS or IT.

I hope this will help you

All the best

Hello Krishna,

As such I would suggest, if you are unable to decide then wait and let the course begin. An exposure to the various specilaizations would give you an understanding of the subject and its requirements and then you could make a choice.

Or else,, best option at this stage would be o select mechanical engineering. Since it encompasses all areas of engineering and at the sametime, you could select any specialisation at the masters level. Also you could find jobs in any industry too

rest is your choice.

Wish you good luck...

Dear Aspirant,

Instead of choosing randomly and on the basis of trial and error method, you should on priority take the Engineering Branch Selector Test from CareerGuide.com. This psychometric test has been uniquely designed to judge your engineering skills.

If you have an eligible JEE score, then it is better that you choose the branch very carefully. There is not point in joining, testing and then leaving if not liked.

You will also have to think in terms of introspection about the areas in science you like the most and have scored well, like Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Maths, etc. There are many options / branches in engineering which are suitable to each and every one, however choosing the right one is critical for a stable and smooth career.

Please take the test on priority and you can then give me a call through this system and we can discuss to arrive at the right decision.

Best wishes.
