It is a the most simple yet most complex question to answer. Main aim of this question in any interview is to make the candidate comfortable & confident, as this is the question where a candidate would never say,"I don't know". So begin by introducing your education, professional experience, if any. Move on to your achievements, ambition & hobbies. You can talk a little about your family, but remember do not get too engrossed while talking about them. This is because you don't want the interviewer to remember your family & forget you! Also it is a nice idea to give your brief personality profile, make sure you don't use any negative adjectives or those which try to establish you as being arrogant.
Remember, that rest of the questions will be taken up from your introduction. Key element - do not lie. Once you lie, you will be trapped.

The only answer I can give here is, Do not lie, be honest yet make it short and sweet.
Do not try to use jargon to impress the interviewer and most importantly "Maintain Eye contact" at all time.

The best is to make a short summary about yourself, which should include,

• Your name
• Qualification and if possible which year and which University
• Family lineage, what your Parents do, just in short
• Followed by who is your role model from the family and why???
• A little emphasis on your hobbies or extra curricular activities
• Talk about certificates and medals you have got and how they make you as a person
• Positive qualities about you
• Negative qualities about you, but how are you overcoming them
• Further plans in life

Please note that, I am just asking you to be ready with all the above points, so that you do not fumble at the in point of time.
Please remember, do not begin to vomit everything at one go. Pause, try and notice what the person in front of you feels, and always give a gap, so that the interviewee gets a chance to ask you a question and you know what their point of view is.

Last but not the least, always go prepared, with few commonly asked questions, but do not over learn that it appears like rote learning.

Start with your name, and qualification and move on with your goals and achievements.
