Hi Partha,

Very intersting and I salute this attiutde of yours.

Because to be succesful in any profession, just having an interests would not help, but one needs the right aptitude too.

Though Aptitude can be developed, but some qualities are inherent.

Certain traist you must possess which an editor must possess:

  • Flair to writing: There are kids from a very young age, who like to pen down, every small incident in their life, whether in details or casually. A flair towards writing is necessary
    Voracious Reader: Very very important is being a reader and more importantly a bookworm. This helps knowing different languages and helps in communicating
    Communication skills: Another important aspect of an editor is, being communicative. Sometimes, some kids wants to express themselves but cannot find the right word or are just shy. An editor needs to overcome all this habit.
    Imaginative: Though editors are supposed to lay down facts but even to write down an article, one first needs to imagine before putting it down on paper.
    Clarity of thoughts: One must not just be blindly writing, but they must be able to support it with facts and figures,.. In short one must be logical.
