As such to be an editor, one needs to have:Good command over languages ( Basic Language knowledge is a must)Good command over writingCommunicative & Expressive ( Verbally and in writing)Analytic Ability ( Reasoning capacity)Comprehending ability
Once the above mentioned capabilities are fulfilled, then one can take the support of their educational qualification.
An editor, mostly needs to be from the mass-media field. Here you could opt for a BMM ( Bachelors in Mass-media) and choose Journalism as your specialization.
After graduation, you could opt for either PG Diploma in Mass-media or an MBA in Journalism.
But please note that, apart from your potentials and qualifications, you need to have some portfolio ready, so that you can land a job easier than others.So best would be to begin early.You can begin by editing your college magazine. Start writing blogs and take expert opinions.
