Hi,

Zoology is an important part of Science, the person who studies zoology and practices it as a profession is known as a zoologist. Zoology is the study of animals. Zoologists have a keen interest in animal kingdom. They study every thing about animals like reproductive system, nervous system, respiratory system, circulatory system, skeletal systems, metabolic system, cellular structure, habits and habitat etc.

In order to give reports about animals , they need to understand all the minutest aspects related to animals. All this is possible if they study the science related to them thoroughly.

People who do research on animals or any other branch of science are known as scientists. Zoologists do a number of things like they are related to animal husbandry sectors. They are related to fisheries , where they breed fishes, they work for poultry farms on a large scale, they participate in the betterment of sanctuaries, they visit all the zoo to guide the authority to how to take care of the animals.

Now a days there are channels only for animal kingdom. Such projects are not possible with out the help of zoologists. Certain antivenins are prepared for curing snake bites. This again requires thorough knowledge about animals, which is possible only by studying science.

More and more people are becoming animal lovers and they have even started keeping animals as their pets, which has given employment to many people.

Zoology is a science of animals and study of zoology makes a zoologist. I hope i could enhance yourknowledge about the subject.

ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

The zoologist is a person who study the animals, their behavior, distribution, classification and physiology in their habitat and also in captivity. The zoologist may also be in involved in breeding aspects of animals. Technically speaking the zoologist is a person who has obtained a post graduate degree in zoology.

Just imagine that a 12 standard student or a graduate student who has studied some basic aspects of animal biology and perform the duties of zoologist. This is not possible. The reason is that during 12 and graduation some background of zoology subject has been taught.

A zoologist work at many platforms, as a teacher in school, as lecturer in colleges as a professor in universities as a scientist in research institutions. Without sound or proper knowledge of the subject, it is not possible to justify with the job. A school teacher or a lecturer can only teach the students, only if he or she has excellent knowledge of zoology.

On the other hand a professor has to interact with students of graduation, post graduation and doctoral degree. The students usually asks questions, that only can be answered by the person who has sound knowledge of the subject.

On the other hand the zoology does not mean the study of animals, the subject now has many sub divisions or specializations. These specialization could be land animals, marine animals, microscopic animals, some reproductive or physiological aspects of animals. Therefore, a person has to study about a particular zoology stream and become specialized. Some zoologist are working on molecular aspects, some are working on nutritional aspects, some are working on pathological aspects. Therefore, a sound knowledge is very important to sustain the field and also to progress in the field.

It is just like, if a doctor does not have sound knowledge of subject or any disease, how he or she can treat the patients. That will not be good for the doctor an for the patients also.

A zoologist could work work in laboratory to study the small animals, or a zoologist may work in fields to study the animals, their behavior in their natural habitat.

Therefore, a sound knowledge of science or specialized zoology stream is very important to make other understand the subject as well as to progress in the field also.

With all my best wishes,

Good Luck....
