It is good to know that you are interested to understand the work culture in Multinational brand at food technologist level. Indeed MNC has vibrant and splendid approach to claim the product oriented job and that is why they ask you same thing from your candidature, even they are not interested to waste the time in explaining the nature and responsibilities of job after joining rather they expect the readily available package within you so that you will start to perform just after the joining on very first day.
This is the first and foremost difference at MNC level whereas govt job looks for certain others quality though national and PSU also started to develop the same strategies and work culture so that the best could be served for the society and nation.
As far as food technology is concerned in MNC require the professionalism as discussed hereunder:
1. Smart academic profile: It is very important part at basic level, professionalism is there in your academic life also which makes you disciplined and timed so that you show the academic credential in distinction.

2. Focused and Dedicated: Whether you focused and dedicated for your prospective job or not they have the set criteria and other psychometric tool where everything will be revealed while answering their questions. For example I am asking you how fermentation technology is prevalent to define the probiotics in food technology? if you find this question relevant, meaningful and answerable then start to answer with confidence otherwise say sorry with humbleness. Failing to do and start to mug up and firing criss-cross will lead you to the rejection. Be assure, whatever you are remain as you are-----

3. Updated and analytical: Though your academic performance and interpersonal skills are important factors for survival, but other factors like your updating skill which makes you contemporary at every walk of your service. Second thing you never take any assignment without having discussion on your own and try to make it more interesting with your analytical skill.

4. Avoid stereotyping: Doing favor to your colleagues based on caste, gender, or personal will is not permissible in MNC which restricts you to join the club of excellence in professional life.
