Dear Student,

There is a huge difference in working in a corporate world and as a freelancer ( you can say retainer-ship basis or practice) .

If you work in a corporate ( industry) then you have to work for a particular profile which can be anything such as:

1) Taxation
2) Internal audit & internal control
3) Treasury ( investment)
4) Corporate compliances
5) Accounting & making financial statements etc

Further the above work profile would only relate to one company only. And the salary will be fixed & your performance will be rated by the company for promotion / demotion and any other incentives. One has to meet all the deadlines & may have to work under heavy pressure.

If you work as a freelancer then the area of work is open to you. You are your own boss. You can take any assignment in which you have expertise or may outsource the same.

The greatest difficulty in freelancing is that one has to look for clients initially. But once you have a good base of clients then you will get the true fruits of freelancing.

Stay Happy & Bright
