Let's catch the day of a Corporate Lawyer. It's a busy day and they get to do a lot of work.

8:30 a.m.: Entered the office and went to the internal training session covering an aspect of the year-end reporting process. This is a part of the process adopted by the company.
10:00 a.m.: Met a client, alng with a senior advocate. They are stuck in an issue requiring legal advice.
10:30 a.m.: The discussion ended, but more research is required. So, I referred to the law books and tried to get the insights of the issue.
10:35 a.m.: Took a few minutes to check e-mails from the night before. Most of them were from clients and were related to their cases. I answered to all of them without much of delay.
10:50 a.m.: Reviewed the tax policies and a client's responsibilities for the taxes. Client is seeking legal advice.

11:15 a.m.: Met with the mid-level associate to discuss the client's case and also on day's activities.
11:30 a.m.: Proofread the cover letter to be sent with the tax forms and instructions and send the packet to the client.
11:40 a.m.: Discussion with the team members on how to proceed in a particular case. Had to do a lot of brainstorming before we could come to any conclusion.
12:10 p.m.: Had lunch in the cafeteria. Had a wonderful time with the fellow lawyers. It's one of the most interesting.
1:00 p.m.: Got a new assignment on the Disclosure Schedule to the Agreement and Plan of Merger. First discussed it with the executive team and then called a meeting to plan the work ahead.
2:15 p.m.: Started working on the assignment. Gathered the necessary data and then called mid level executive in order to discuss the plan in length. We both sat for next three four hours and prepared the draft.
6:00 p.m.: Got urgent call from the client while I was rushing for the coffee. There was some urgent information required. I helped them with that.

6:20 p.m.: Prepare and send a long e-mail to the controller of the client involved in a merger asking him to provide some additional information for inclusion in the disclosure schedule and to help with the preparation of a few sections of the schedule.
6:50 p.m.:Assisting a senior in preparing a consulting newsletter providing the information regarding corpoarte law.
7:20 p.m.: Revise the day's activities and discuss it with the team members.
8:00 p.m.: Organize files and prepare a tentative -to-do-list for the next day.
8:15 p.m.: Time to go home. And relax.
