The typical day of a Leather Technology Engineer can vary depending on the project needs. I am listing down the list of tasks that they can do in their every day work:

  • They have to attend the meetings at the start of the day with their managers and also checking the emails.

  • If they are working in production unit, they have to supervise the whole production process.

  • They are supposed to keep a check on the quality of leather that is being processed.

  • They have to work on ensuring the water resistance capacity before the leather processing.

  • Studying various aspects of chemistry and chemical reactions helps them to understand the processes. They study chemistry and even work in the experimentation lab, whenever they find time.

  • They make sure that proper research and quality control is in place so that the best quality product is produced.

  • They do the analysis of the data on computer software.

  • They also get a chance to interact with clients and therefore need to explain the technical aspects of the production.

  • They work on purchasing the raw material and provide the advice in that.

  • The job involves working in a production unit and therefore is quite challenging one.
