The typical day of a Manufacturing Engineer is spent in following way:
  • They have to keep a check on the emails and see if there is any urgent response required.
  • Since manufacturing engineer has to work in a factory settings, he or she has to get involved in the every aspect of manufacturing process and work closely with the technicians and workers.
  • They have to give presentations to the coworkers and explain them about the various processes.
  • Examining and tendering for new equipment to ensure the highest quality at the best price.
  • They work on the equipments installation and the ensure their functionality.
  • They coordinate with the designers and ensure that the manufactured product gets exact same features as prescribed by the design team.
  • They also need to ensure that the technical speciafications of the product are met.
  • They work in the laboratories to develop new manufacturing processes.
  • The job involves a lot of supervision all throughout the day and ensure that each worker is doing their job correctly.
  • The important part of the job is to effectively manage the people and getting work done on time.
