The typical day of a web designer is very interesting and exciting. It's one of the rare careers where technical expertise meets the creative energy. This is how a web designer spends his/her day:

Working on Overall Goals - A web designer will spend his or her time trying to achieve certain larger goals; for example, he or she will need to ensure proper design, layout and coding of websites. Every element of these websites will fall under the website designer's job responsibilities, including technical aspects, graphics, and overall aesthetics (the site's appearance).

Programming Hard - A web designer will be spend a lot of time in programming to improve the website. There are so many issues with the website. For example - it takes time to get load, the features sometimes stop responding, the social media buttons do not work - it's the web designer who ensures the integrity and quality of the features on the website. And for that, they do hardcore programming.

The web designer will write codes for existing applications, software packages and decorative piece of graphics. They need to have passion for the coding as it will consume lot of time.

Website Testing- A web designer will spend some time to test the functionalities of the websites. It may not be something that they do every day but on most occassions, they will have to do that. The various features and functions of the website are tested to enhance the user experience.

Interacting with Clients- This is one job that is really important for the web designers. It can be in the office, at client site or any other place. That's why a web designer has to travel a lot. During the meetings with clients, a lot of brain storming sessions take place.

These discussions set the real requirement for their work to be done. The understanding becomes clear and they can focus on exactly what they have to do.

Overall, pretty interesting day. And yeah not to forget, in the mean time they do have a lot of fun too.
