Hello there

Thank you very much for approaching counsellors at CareerGuide.com. A career in automobile is very interesting. Before i go ahead with counselling you on this topic, please let me introduce myself. I am Gomathi Venkat and I am a professional counsellor practicing in this counselling industry over for 23 years now. I specialise in guidance and counselling with career choice and education line for students and all the other people. I am also the Managing Director of GV counselling group based in Bangalore and Chennai. So lets go into the question now.

For a job in auto mobile engineering, you require a Diploma in Mechanical, BENG/ BTech in Mechanical engineering or a Diploma in Auto mobile or BENG/ BTech Auto mobile engineering. You need a basic diploma or degree to be qualified for work related to Auto mobile engineering.

With this degree you can work for any mechanical industry and auto manufacturing industry. You can be employed in car manufacturing like Hyundai, Ford, Skoda, Maruthi, Chevrolet and can also seek employment in other auto mobile companies like Ashok leyland, TVS, Caterpillar, Hero Honda, Bajaj.

Apart from these industries you can also get employment in airline manufacturing industry like Airbus, Rolls Royce, GE, Boeing. You can also be a part of bus, truck, van manufacturing companies like TATA, TAFE etc.

In short you can apply for jobs to any company that manufactures any kind of auto mobiles apart from the names that i have suggested above. These days students are also been recruited by other appliance manufacturing industries like Godrej. You can find employment as a HR or a Marketing manager too in Auto mobile companies. You can also consider studying MBA with Auto mobile management or manufacturing management. This will give you a good lead in applying to top level marketing and manufacturing jobs in auto mobile sector.

As said in the beginning, you need to be qualified with a related auto mobile degree to work in this sector. But this sector has tremendous opportunities for students with a relevant degree. In fact they also give importance to students with a production engineering and management or an Engineering management or an Industrial engineering and management degree.
If you require any further detail please feel free to contact. Good luck.
