Hi There,
Before I answer your question, let me tell you who are PR people and a little about their work.
Though I am sure you know about them, but a little brief.
PR are people who are the spokesperson for the organization. Though they do not come in the open, but they are the ones who plan, market and execute the ideas to reach out to the masses. They reach out to the masses using either Visual or Auditory forms or both.Sometimes it is a well known person whom masses can relate to.eg. Cadbury, Mr. Amitabh Bacchhan, is the face of Cadbury. When Cadbury was in news for its worms in the pack, it was Mr. Bacchan who represented the company and brought back the trust in the people about cadbury.Similarly its tag line," Kucch meetha ho jaye", we relate it to cadbury.
Anyways cutting the long story short, Since I have mentioned PR being the face of the company, every organization right from a retail to healthcare to service industry to media, all hire PR executives.
Since they are the brainchild, they make the plans and the result is the execution or the advertisements we see on TV or hear on radios or see on billboards.
Choose any industry, but you have to think beyond but in sync with the masses, by putting yourself in their position.Hope this answers your query.
Wish you good luck..............
