In India you can expect a starting salary package of Rs. 28,000/- in Govt Sector and Starting salary in private sectors would be Rs.18,500-25,000/- depend on the company and your performance during your interview.

A Geologist earns an average salary of Rs 497,549 per year. Most people with this job move on to other positions after 10 years in this career.

With 5 Years of Work Experience, and based on Job Profile, one can earn upto Rs. 6-9 Lacs per annum.
