Hi Atharav,

Thanks for contacting CareerGuide.com with your problem.

Well first of all Lawyer's life is full of reading. More you read more polished lawyer you become. So reading and understanding what you read are two important things in order to become a successful and expert lawyer.

Let me first inform you that becoming a layer is easy than becoming a successful lawyer. Because you can complete the LLB course either in 3 years or 5 years, but completing time is fixed that you will become a lawyer either in 3 years or 5 years and by chance if you fail in any of the year it may add one more year in order to become a lawyer. My point here is that it is fixed that in how many years you can become a layer but in order to become a successful layer you dont know or in that case no body knows how much time it would take to you because until and unless you do not prove you skills, knowledge, and your abilities to win a case, you can not become a successful lawyer and this may take ranging from 5 years to 10 or 15 years based on the interest you take in litigation and also based on the hard work you put into it.

Second thing is to becoming an Expert Lawyer. Well, in Litigation field there are various area of law in which you may begin your litigation career. Now it is up to you that which area/field you want to choose based upon your interest in it. Becoming an expert lawyer depends upon the interest and hard work only. The more interest you take in your litigation field the more hard work you put in it and end result would amaze you always. That is the only way to become an expert lawyer.

Third and very important thing, I hope that you now how the Supreme Court of India administration works! In Supreme Court of India each and every Advocate who is practicing in Supreme Court is registered and known as the Advocate on Records. Similarly, if you are an assisting lawyer or a Junior Lawyer, you or the Advocate you are assisting needs to register your name on the records in order to let the court know that you are an assisting lawyer.

I hope the information shared here with you is more helpful to you and will lead to you a desired opinion you would want to take.

Thanks once again and I wish you all the very best for your future and hope to see you as an Advocate soon.
