Meteorology is the branch of earth science that deals with the methodical study of the atmosphere and the effects it bears on the day to day activities of the inhabitants. Space application centers also employ meteorologists as the launching of satellite also depends on weather conditions. The meteorologists can find employments with Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Indian Air Force, Space application Centers, National Remote Sensing Agency, Defence Research and Development Organization and Indian Space Research Organization.
