Hello there....

First allow me to introduce myself to you, I am working as a financial analyst in a private company and I am having experience of more than three years in the same filed.I did my MBA in finance from IIM Shillong before that I was working as a operation officer in govt company.
Coming to your question I would like to explain you the roles of security analyst as per your query changing role of a security analyst over years and what it wold be likely in future.
The role of a security analyst is more or less same in changing years, the role is like to make sure the data, network, computer systems the company own are secure and are safe from unauthorized access. the role is always revolving around the above mentioned statement. It is always about the good functioning of the systems and networks and make the flow of work smoothly and efficiently that will meet all the business needs of the company. To select the good and reasonable hardware, software for the company processes.
Making sure that all the security procurement are within the allocated budget of the company and is not over budget.

More responsibilities like sharing of network, server setup, server access to authenticated users, back up of systems for assuring no data loss in future are all the added roles with changing years. The use of internet and intranet and increased security levels have added more roles in their work.

In future coming years also it will be more or less same only, with added responsibilities with developing techniques and technology. They need to be updated with advance tools and techniques in market to keep their value intact and always focus on improving your skill set to be in demand. Changing scenarios of market, driving technology needs made it necessary for all to be always updated with the new advance versions of software, security techniques etc.
Hope all above explained you well the query you asked and now you can have a insight of security analyst role and changing role in near future. Thank you for coming and asking a query in career guide do come again with a any query you have.
All the best for your future.
