Hope you are aware of what a paleotologists does?
A Paleontologists, is an expert who studies fossils of extinct animals and humans from different eras to find out about the existence of various species and their evolution.
A Paleontologists study both animals having backbones ( vertebrate) and ones without bones ( Invertebrate), microbes, plants and roots etc.
A Paleontologist studying microbes or micro organism, are mainly found in laboratories studying microbes under a microscope. Whereas the others, are found at various excavation sites, with their team excavating, digging and studying the remains of the fossils found.
As such, in terms of education, a paleontologists needs to be well versed with science related subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and at the same time geography, geoscience and earth science.
Best would be to graduate in Earth Science or in Geology, and then train under Geological Society of India, the only Institute that provides training in this area.
As such after 10th, you need to study Science in 12th, and then opt to graduate in Geoscience or Earth science.
