Please note that a Station master is responsible for the smooth functioning of the Railways.
Please note that Railways conduct an internal exams for promotion of their staffs which you would have to clear to eventually reach the Station master position.
Initially just being a Graduate, you would have to appear for a written examination conducted by the Railways recruitment board and once you qualify, you would be selected for the Assistant manager position. Training will be provided accordingly
Notification for the exams are generally available in local newspapers and Employment NEWS paper. You would have to keep checking these papers for further notice of the examination.

As already clarified by Meghna, these are government competitive examinations and are announced only when there is vacancy. Vacancy announcements are done in Employment News / Rojgar Samachar and are also available on Railways website.
You have to master science as a stream preferably or as per the requirement of the exam.
