You should first choose on whether you want to work in the public or private sector. Companies in the private sector (TCS, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, Infoysys, etc.) often conduct interviews both on and off campus.
There are essentially three levels at these businesses:
- Technical interview, HR interview, and aptitude test. In order to advance in the hiring process, you must pass each of these tests.
- To work for the government, you must pass competitive admission examinations such as the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), the Indian Engineering Services (IES), the Civil Services (CS), the SSC (Combined Graduate Level), etc. You may apply for any job, and if you pass the required entrance test, you will be hired.
