There have been a great career opportunities in both the Private as well as Public Banking Sector.

To make a career in the Banking Sector earlier the student of the 12th of any stream who have scored 60% was eligible to apply for the Bank Clerk exams.

The person who aspires to make a career in the Banking Sector especially in the Public Banking Sector they need to go through the exam. There are two types of Exams are conducted in the Government Banking Sector i.e Bank Clerk and Bank PO.

The person who aspires to make a career in the Banking Sector especially in the Public Banking Sector they need to go through the exam. There are two types of Exams are conducted in the Government Banking Sector i.e Bank PO. 

The Candidates who aspires to make a career in SBI bank they need to give an SBI PO exam.; whereas the candidate who wish to make a career as PO in any of the Government Banks they need to give an IBPS Bank PO exam. IBPS BANK PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the remaining 21 Government Banks in the Country.

As per the new norms the Eligibility criteria is revived which is as follows-

The educational eligibility for  Bank PO Exam (both) is the same as follows-

1.A candidate should have completed a Graduation Degree from any of the stream( except Fine Arts ) from a recognised university.

2.Nationality- Indian

3.Age- 20 to 30 years; 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years is for disabled person.

However there is a difference in the Exams conducted of SBI and IBPS PO and also there are restrictions for the attempt of the SBI PO Exams.

1. Common Written Exam

2. Interview

Exam Pattern of SBI PO exam

1. Prelim Exam

2. Main Exam

3. Group Discussion and Interview

 

There are limitations for the No. of attempts to the SBI  exams which are as follows-

1.General -04

2.General (PWD)-07

3.OBC-07

4.OBC(PWD)-07

5.SC/ST- No limitations.
