Hello Jitendra,

Interesting question asked.

For a good start one needs a good start at the base level. What I mean here is a good college or institute to start with. Followed by good academic score to help you get into the best company accompanied with salary and position.

Easy as it sounds. But it is not that easy. Whats needed is maintaining the focus. When it comes to the first job your academics is what matters, but once you are into the job your attributes would matter.

Meaning, to do well as an engineer, and maintain your job your technical knowledge and ability to break through or troubleshoot is needed. You need to be slightly innovative and future oriented. A never giving up attitude followed by being open to learning is a must.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck...

Dear Aspirant,

Firstly you need to verify and be sure whether are you really an engineering material. I mean that you need to check in terms of your aptitude, interests, engineering acumen, innate abilities and skills, whether you are right and suitable for engineering career for life. I am telling you this since I have seen many students opting for engineering on the basis of some dream (false) and expectation and then they feel frustrated and wish to then go to non engineering domain like banking, finance, insurance, etc.

You can get better in engineering by choosing the right engineering specialisation for you. This is first step to get better career in engineering. You can take the Engineering Stream Selector Test from CareerGuide.com. This is a unique psychometric test which will check your engineering aptitude and other factors like interests, skills, passion, etc. Knowing these are a must before deciding on a particular career option.

Best wishes
