I want to do journalism and mass comm. but my parents want me to do engg. I dont know if I will be able to do that. my marks in 12th are not very much impressive n ranks are also not impressive! so I cannot get a good college in engg. but can anybody please guide me for journalism? their colleges? waht kind of study back ground it will take.. and what exams? and what eligibility? Firstly I would like you to convince your parents about your liking for journalism and mass communication streams for career. It is very important before you take any decision of appearing for SAT.

Bachelor's degree or post-graduate degree in journalism/mass communication is required to pursue a career in this field.
Eligibility to Study Journalism after 12 or after graduation:Minimum eligibility for Bachelor degree in journalism is 10+2. Some institutes also provide one year certificate courses in journalism for which eligibility is 10+2.
For Post graduate degree courses, minimum eligibility is a Bachelor degree in journalism with 55%. However, for post graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication, graduation in Journalism is not mandatory. Only few institutes accept only Journalism graduates for post-graduation courses. Usually, any graduates can apply for masters' course.
