Dear Aspirant,
Once you choose Marketing and that too after doing Engineering, you should be open to any sector, any domain.
Marketing is a big thing, firstly you will get jobs in Sales and when you prove your capability in Sales, you will then be able to rise to the job of Marketing. Doing Marketing without the background of Sales, will not be good. You can expect jobs in marketing of industrial products, manufactured products since your background is in engineering, however this cannot be guaranteed, since majority of marketing or sales jobs are in FMCG and financial services.
I am sad that you did you engineering and yet chose MBA. Hope you are aware and understand that you have wasted money, efforts and time doing engineering.
I would suggest that you should immediately grab look out for a job irrespective of the domain or sector. However if there are more than one offers, then you can select one of them based on your true interests, that sector/domain future scope and current status, etc. Talking some of your friends or relatives who are in marketing would definitely help.
