Hi Athira,
Interesting qualifications and area of work too.
One piece of advise I would give is that, any field you join, pressure of work would follow you. Be ready for it. Since organizations these days are reducing manpower in offices, whereby one person does all the work, so pressure is definitely extensive.
Since you have mentioned, good mathematical and communication skills, The profession I can think of is Becoming a teacher or a professor. Choice is yours. But mind you work pressure wont be less. Right from setting the syllabus to correction of papers and submitting results as well as preparing for the next lecture on time demands pressure. But if you are able to manage your time well, pressure would seem less.
To be a school teacher, you would have to complete B.Ed a 3 years course. For becoming a lecturer, M.Ed is required with a post graduation degree
Other than this, best would be to work as a freelancer., whereby you have your own set timings and clients you would like to cater to.
In terms of freelancing, you could work as a software professionals on a contract basis. Or pursue a short term course related to animations or web designing.
Choice is yours.
But advisable is, take a break, refresh yourself and get back to work. Because come what may pressure cannot be avoided in the IT industry. Also you could look out for a job change.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck...........
Dear Aspirant,
IT industry is an industry which has pressure to meat deadlines and complete the project. I feel doing a job and not wanting pressure is unrealistic. Even in business there is much more pressure.
With around 6 years of strong work experience, I think you need to look ahead and aim for a start in the management cadre. How about doing PMP certification which can give you scope into Project Management and become a Project Manager?
If you wish to switch to another career, remember that you will be treated as a fresher. Why to take such back to pavilion attitude?
You can definitely think of teaching as a career, however you will have to be a Masters degree holder to teach in colleges.
Best wishes
