I am a btech ece student , currently in the final year..i have got placed with a package of 3.1 lacs. I also took coaching for CAT 2012 because i felt that the subjects that the mba exams focus on (english and maths) are required anywhere and everywhere you go. I will be appearing for CAT2012 and the IIFT exam as well. Now as far as GATE is concerned , i am not even interested a tad in it.. But being a girl i feel i should in the end settle for a govt job.. Now as i very very fond of reading newspapers and i also like keeping myself abreast with the latest happenings, i feel i should go in for civil services. Now what do i do ? How do i get to know what exactly is it that i am cut out for? I also know that civil services requires dogged hard-work. So i want to know whether it is wise to directly go for the civil services preparation or get a job experience for a year or two and then go in for the kill or should i just leave civil services as a career option.
