Hello My Dear Chartered Accountant,

Being a Chartered Accountant I would like to see a person work in the finance, risk, credit, accouting, departments in banks or financial institutions or other corporate companies.

I cannot tell you the exact reason for you being into that job profile.

My observation is that all Finance Managers are not Chartered Accountants and all Chartered Accountants are Finance Managers. Going by this notion. I feel you should check for your self what is lacking in you and your skills, which is affecting your career growth. If you feel that the job profile which you are currently into is not suitable to you, after an introspection and a critical analysis of your skills and competencies, you should definitely look out for another job with a different job profile.

Basically being a Chartered Accountant, looking for another job would not be very difficult for you.

I would suggest you to under go the Professionals Skills Index Psychometric Test. this test will help you analyse for your self the professional skills and competencies you have and which you lack in.

In a market, defining a job profile for a defined set of education qualifications does not exist and there are many who are doing jobs which are not related to their qualification or education.

I would there fore suggest you to have a relook at your competencies, brush up your knowledge through some certification courses in Tally, SAP or get a CPA degree or do an MBA Finance. All these value additions will help you gain the extra and enhanced knowledge and equip you accordingly.

All the Best
