Dear Aspirant,
Five years of experience is a good experience and I feel that you should continue doing your job. You can definitely think for job change in other hospitals and healthcare companies. There is scope and career progression so therefore, you should not worry about stability. Income depends on the hospital too, therefore you should aim to work in high level, speciality and good paying hospitals or healthcare companies.
If you think for alternative career, then your current five years of experience will go waste, since in that new sector/domain this experience will not be counted and you will be treated as a fresher. If you think you can take this risk, you can seek alternative career opportunities, however please remember that you will have learn about the new domain/sector and then scale up, which will again take much more time than now.
I suggest that you should take efforts in mastering the current domain knowledge and switch jobs.
Best wishes
