I am a graduate of civil engineer and associate computer degree, but never in my life I work as engineer but I was once work in a private company as in computer just only for 5months then I been having hard time since then to find a job until I discover to my ownself to work at home as internet marketing, now my husband want me to take a course so I can use my engineering degree, I told him I am more interested in designing and art, and even in college of engineer I am good in designing and arts

Hi there,

Interesting that being a married woman also you are interested in creating an identity for yourself.

As such as an engineer too you are eligible to get a job.

But for that you would have to decide whether you are looking out for a part time or a fulltime job.
Since no organization would offer you a part-time job related to engineering.

As far as working is concerned, you have already mentioned designing and ART.

Since you have mentioned you are good at this field.
What you need to remember here is that apart from just being good at ART, you need to be highly;y creative and most importantly you need to be highly imaginative, with unthought ideas, and at the same time need to be completely focused with a lot of patience and imprompto attitude. Your ideas needs to be creative and at the same time competely different, fresh and should match the ideas of the masses to be accepted. Apart from this most important is your style of communicating the ideas and as well as being convincing.

In designing you could choose from
  • Interior designing
  • Fashion Designing
  • Graphic Designing
  • Web Designing

Only as an interior designer, you would have to make home visits whereby you would have to go and check the customers home before and after the things are ready.
Whereas for the other 3, especially for web and graphics designing, you could directly work from the comfort of your home and via internet.
In terms of Fashion designing, you have the option of running your own boutique too, if you are interested.

Apart from this another noble profession you could opt for includes Teaching.

You could enrol for either a B.Ed, which makes you eligible for teaching in schools, from primary to secondary level.
You could opt for either Ecc.Ed, which makes you eligible teacher for the pre-primary, or work as a lecturer in colleges by completing the NET /SET.

Apart form this, you could also begin to work as a lecturer in coaching classes in your area. They require their teachers to be a graduate and well versed with the curriculum and the subject they wish to teach.
