Hii there,

This is a common confusion at this stage of life.

Firstly please note that it is a myth that one need to be studious to pursue specific professions. When someone is studious, either they are scholars or they are completely dumb. It is the average student who does well and become something in life.

Secondly, if you have a dream, work towards it and dont get discouraged. There would be a lot of hurdles on your way especially many people advising you negatively like it is difficult, you are an average student its tough etc, but if you believe in yourself, you can achieve it.

Only here I want you to do a self introspection, where lies your strength and do you have an interests in the particular line you choose.

When you speak of helping people, please note every industry which is a servicing industry, works to serve people only, whether it is medical or pharmacy or retail industry or any field you wish to talk about.

As far as medical and computers is concerned, few differences you need to know are:
Medical involves 5 1/2 years tograduateand then followed by masters degreewhich is 21/2 years more to finish education. So in short 8 years to study and another few years to establish yourself as adoctor. So in shortaround 10 years.
Whereas in Computers, it is roughly 5 years education which involves 3 years graduation and 2 years to majors and few years in the industry.
Medical seats are reserved, tough we say it is purely based on entrance exam and merit, but even meritorious students do not get admission due to reserved category that is involved.
Whereas though it is a high competition and everyone wishes to study computers, but still merit is considered in this field.

As far as servicing or helping people are involved, you could also look out for other options like:
  • Pharmacy
  • Psychology / Psychiatry
  • Physiotherapy
  • Dentistry
  • Pathology
As far as choosing a subject or course is concerned, mainly you would have to choose based on your reasoning capacity or analysis.
And as far as concerned both the fields mentioned computers and medical demands analytic ability or reasoning capacity.
In case still confusion persists, best would be to undergo an Aptitude tests, which would help you in making a confirmed choice based on your acquired intelligence.

Hope this answers your query.

Wish you good luck....
