Its really nice to know that you wish to come into Academics. However, what is that made you think of coming to academics when you have a good job in TCS? Hope you are clear enough about your decision. I would like to caution here that once you come into academics, you will find it very difficult to go back to corporate jobs if later you wish to switch again. Since academics experience is not useful for corporate jobs.
PGDM if it is AICTE approved, then it is eligible to pursue NET/SET. Now once you are a PGDM, your engineering degree is of no use.
Once you clear NET/SET, you will be able to apply to teaching jobs. Ultimately getting a PhD should be your aim to make your teaching career secure and growing.
