I am confused about choosing among general biotech or specific fields of biotech and also about the university

I am a student of BSc biotech final year & am confused about the course to be chosen after this wheather to do general biotech or some specification like forensic, plant, agri etc even I too need govt collleges for that so I wud like u to guide me for this if u could suggest me some got collleges.

Good to see your interest in biotechnology. I see you are already studying biotechnology at a three year degree level. As you have alraedy studied in general mode of biotechnology, i think it is the right time for you to move to some specific level. There are different fields of biotechnology that you can concentrate on your MSc level. But i want to ask you a few questions to direct you to the right MSc study.

I see you are currently studying BSc Biotechnology degree. What are the subjects you studied in this degree? Did you choose to study any special elective subject as a part of this BSc biotech degree? I think colleges ask students to choose electives in second and third year of their degrees. If you have choosen something in these two years, what were the subjects name? Did you like to study them? How much did you score in them? If you like that electives you choose, you can study the same subject at MSc level.
For example, if you choose 'Molecular biology' as an elective, and you liked it so much, then you can consider studying MSc Molecular biology. Or if you choose 'Plant biotechnology' as your elective and if you liked it, then you can study MSc Plant biotechnology. I can suggest good colleges only after knowing the subject you like from one of the fields in biotechnology. Biotech is vast and you can study further in many fields. For example, you can study MSc Biochemistry MSc Bio organic chemistry MSc Biology MSc Genetics MSc Plant biotechnology MSc Industrial biotechnology MSc Medical biotechnology.

If you are so much confused about choosing the right degree, you can still consider studying MSc Biotechnology itself. Your second year of MSc will ask you to specialize in one particular subject and you can choose what interest you at that time. So see if you like your BSC elective subjects. If you like any of them from your BSc, see if there is the same course at the MSc level and then find colleges that offer the subject at MSc level. Alternatively consider doing MSc Biotech and see what colleges offer what type of elective subjects in their MSc level.
