Hello Udit,

Good to see a long term planning.

Here you would have to take a call whether you wish to work on existing data or would like to innovate or develop new software s and research on existing ones to make it better.

Here you have 3 options:

  1. B.Sc Computer Science: A 3 years undergraduate course after 12th science ( PCM). Here you are mainly involved with computer programming and working with existing programs.
  2. BCA: Similiar to B.Sc Computer science. You are mainly dealing here with software applications and troubleshooting.
  3. BE Computer Science: A 4 years undergraduate course in computers. This is an engineering course after 12th PCM Science stream. A student to pursue this course, would have to appear for an entrance exam after 12th. Here the student learns about the functioning of computers in relation to both hardware and software and learns ways to develop new softwares related to better functioning of the computers.

Hope this difference is clear. After your 10th exams, go ahead and research indepth on the different courses mentioned above.

But please note, the basic requirement is Math.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck...
