Dear Aspirant,

Good to know that being in the very first year of engineering, you are thinking for UPSC exams.

Firstly for IES, you need to be thorough with the Engineering domain knowledge and other general awareness.

Books are available in the market and you will have to read all of them thoroughly and try to remember maximum things. UPSC as you know are very competitive exams and lakhs of candidates appearing for the IES from all over the country.

Further I would suggest that when you reach the third year of engineering, enrol yourself with a good coaching class for UPSC preparation. This will help you to gain knowledge, practice maximum and get guidance at every step.

Best wishes
