Dear Aspirant,

Firstly I would like you to know that I am shocked to see how you decide your career. Yes, you are choosing your career in an absolutely wrong way.

How can you choose a course based on the Institute/College? It should be actually reverse. You should be sure of what career option you have to choose based on your likings, aptitude, eligibility, interests, innate abilities, etc. and then decide from which Institute to do that course.

BArch and Petroleum Engineering are way different than each other and I am sure that you are not suitable for both career option. Architecture requires different skill sets and Petroleum Engineering require altogether different skill sets. Both cannot be compared at all and should not be.

If you wish to be an engineer or you wish to become an Architect should be the first thing you should think of, since what career option you choose now will determine your future (personal, family, social life).

I feel you should decide one of them and go ahead with the best institute according to the cut off. If you are not sure, you can take the Ideal Career Test from CareerGuide which is a psychometric test to identify your true potential and suitability for a particular career.

Best wishes
