Very nice to see your aspiration to get into the journalism field and that too when you are in 10th std. You are thinking at the right time and you have approached the right forum to get clarifications. I am very happy to see the seriousness towards your career and the effort to find out about it well in advance.
You can select any stream for Journalism. Journalism can be done at under graduate level (after 12th) or after graduation too. There are bachelors in Journalism as well as PG Diplom or Masters in Journalism. These days there is a combination of Journalism and Mass Communication at masters level.
Preferably you may take BA English or BA Psychology if you wish to do Journalism after graduation. But since you are very much interested and have made up your mind, I would recommend you to opt for Journalism after 12th preferably Arts stream.
You can enquire at your local University office or Institutes like Symbiosis, etc and visit their website for the information.
