Interesting to note that you know your skills and potentials. When you know you are average, I would suggest take help from professors or fellow students and master your skills.

Please note that till you work in the actuals meaning in an industry, knowing your skill is a little dicy. Sometimes even an average student performs better when faced a real industry issue. 

So at the moment, I would suggest master your skills and begin exploring the real world. Be positive and confident with your self.

Probably you could opt for a post related to software analyst, system analyst or manager etc. Later can do a Project management course.

Sad to hear that in today's competitive world, you admit that you have an average database and programming skills. This indicates that you did not put in efforts as were required in the course learning or may be you did MCA without your willingness or out of compulsion.

Are you thinking of changing the domain altogether? That is going to non IT career path?

I think you should hunt for a job based on your MCA qualification only and start taking experience. You can look out for small or medium sized companies as a fresher to work where you will get opportunity to learn as well experience the industry and build your technical competence. Later after some years, you can then shift to bog companies.

If possible do some certifications like CCNA, MCSE, etc. which will add value to your resume.
