Dear Aspirant,

Chemical Engineering is a good choice of engineering.

For government jobs based on your chemical engineering or other administrative vacancies, you can start preparing for them once you are in the third year of engineering. In case you are aiming for IAS exam, then starting right now by enrolling with a good coaching institute is recommended.

As far as skills or qualities are concerned, I am happy that you are thinking in the right direction. You should ensure that you have patience, perseverance, and determination. If you have these, you can will definitely rise.

Best wishes
