Dear Aspirant,
Unfortunately especially CAT exam gives too much (unnecessary) stress and importance for quantitative techniques. If you know that you are not good in maths, you should not focus on CAT but may be choose a little simpler tests like CMAT or State CET.
If you are going to coaching classes for CAT preparation then it is good however since at basic you do not have command over maths and that cannot be achieved in very short duration.
I would suggest that you do appear for CAT since many other BSchools also consider CAT score. Even if you score comparatively less percentile and do not make up to IIMs, that score may help you get admission in other reputed BSchools where the percentile requirement cutoff is not very high.
Always remember that not everybody can make it up to the IIMs, however once you know that MBA is necessary for your career, do not lose heart and go ahead with admission to other BSchools, just ensure that you check the placement record and other things about that BSchool before deciding and confirming the admission. Doing MBA is easy, but you should be able to relate the studies and implement the learnings into your internship and job. Make sure that you build your employability skills in those two years which will help you stand out from the crowd. Companies do not hire just seeing the MBA tag, but want employable skills.
Best wishes
