Dear student,

I would like to highlight the eligibility criteria to do marine engineering for any student. It is always important to do hard work in initial stages like tenth and twelve which lay down the career foundation for future growth.

Please read the below mentioned guide lines:

First the student should pass twelve whether repeat or not does not matter but he/she should pass the exams

Second he / she must have PCM that is physics, chemistry and maths in his syllabus of twelve standard

Third is he/ she should have a descent score and minimum sixty percentage(60 %) in the twelve standard exams, for almost all the entrance for marine engineer it is the standard percentage for students.

Fourth is he/ she should submit all the certificates while the time of admission you are called.

Fifth is minimum age for marine engineering is between the age group of 17 - 25 years of age.

Sixth is they should apply for marine engineering after clearing twelve standard exam

Those who are meeting all the eligibility criteria need to apply for entrance test and they can apply in the month of January itself as per the given notifications.

The exams are generally conducted in the month of april and may. The application procedure is both online as well as offline mode, both are available.

Hope all above explanation made you clear about your query whether you can do marine engineering after repeating twelve standard12th but having sixty percent in PCM - physics, chemistry and maths subjectsand now you know what you need to do after reading all the eligibility criteria. Just be focus in what ever you do and don no be confuse. apart from marine engineering many other courses are there which you can choose based on your interest areas.

All the best for your bright future and have a positive growth in career path

Thank you for coming to career guide and asking your query to us.

Hi There,

It does not matter whether you are a repeater or have cleared 12th in the first attempt.

What is necessary, other than the 12th marks is your clearing the engineering entrance exam, either All India level or State level and other private institute exams.

Anyways the point I wish to make here is, that if you have the passion and desire, no number of attempts can stop you. Take failure as a stepping stone and try better next time.

Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck...
