Hello Shweta
It’s good that currently you are working. Do you like your current profile? If you like it and see great growth in next few years then you may give it a second thought.
Start searching for a new job. Don’t worry about the one year gaps as you were preparing for an exam. Preparing for entrance exam or competitive exams is accepted by almost all the companies. However, you must be ready for questions like ‘your favourite subject’ or ‘what have you learnt from this preparation and this exam’. Your preparation will be helpful while answering the technical questions.
All the best.
Dear Aspirant,
If your family income condition allows, I would suggest you to leave your job and study for GATE. Further you may also explore doing MBA Operations which will supplement your engineering degree and increase your chances for jobs.
If you are comfortable with your current job and think that it is not frustrating, then continue for more years and go for Executive MBA along with a job. Meanwhile, keep searching for job by uploading your updated and well drafted resume on popular job portals. Seek help from friends and relatives for referring you in companies.
Do not lose hreart as you have not lost anything.
Best wishes
