Hi, Anuj ...

That is giving you sleepless nights. If there is only a month left, and you find yourself inadequately prepared, follow a schedule.

Check the syllabus, and divide it into sections, as follows:

  • Topics where you enjoy excellence and confidence.
  • Topics with which you are familiar, but not expert.
  • Topics where you need to start afresh.
  • Topics which will need daily practice, like Maths, Accountancy, Economics etc.

Create a time table with the right priorities.

  • Subjects where you need daily practice should have fixed hours every day.
  • Subjects where you are starting afresh will also need a daily dose.
  • Subjects that you are familiar with, and gaining expertise will increase your confidence.
  • Subjects that you are good at, can be tackled last.

Divide the curriculum into small chunks. Ensure that you complete the daily activity, and tick it off on the sheet.

Decide on the right techniques for studying.

1. What will you need?

  • Guides or keys
  • Good notes.
  • Solved question papers.
  • Online resources.
  • Text books.
  • Coaching classes

2. What is the method that you will apply?

  • Rote memory. Use the peg or link method, to associate each word with an image, and then memorize.
  • Read and understand.
  • Solve question papers and workbooks.
  • Watch videos on the subject, if available.
  • Attend classes, and follow their instructions.

3. How will you test yourself?

4. Do you have adequate time to revise?

Adequate sleep and diet is non-negotiable. Some physical activity keeps you fresh. If a problem is baffling you, sleep on it. You will be able to tackle it better next morning. Staying up all night, affects brain functioning adversely.

Revise everything once in a week, to keep the topics fresh, till the exams.

Good luck!

Dear Aspirant,

First do not get afraid since this exam is not the only life exam for you to prove yourself. I can understand that you wish to do your best for the mba entrance exam and get into a top BSchool. I appreciate this attitude of yours.

If fear, then your confidence will automatically come down and you will not be able to give your 100% even if you are confident and studied well for the exam.

You need to improve your English competence since it appears weak. Do not rely on the last month preparation since that may not be the right way to study and score better.

You need to speedily revise, practice and prepare for the MBA entrance test. Give your 100%.

Best wishes
