I am very fond of Travelling new places and meeting new people. Keeping this in mind, what carrier option would be suitable for me?

I am going to appear for my 12th boards exam in March, 2015. So, which course would be best for me to take up for Bachelor's. I have PCM with economics, but I am not interested to do B.Tech or take a Degree in subjects related to science.

There are a couple of options that you can think off! Hotel management is a obvious choice

. Sales and marketing is another. Getting into media is also a fine option these days. There is also a graduation course in Tourism Management (google it) and that is another super option for you. Good luck!

Wow....

Interesting hobby as such.

But here I would like you think, whether you would like to make this as a career option too and work 24/7 in this field itself.
Visiting new places, would mean mostly being away from home. Sounds simple, but difficult to follow.

Anyways keeping your criteria in mind, few options in terms of careers you could look into would be:

  • Merchant Navy / Shipping Indutry: Here you could opt for a B.Sc in Nautical Sciences after 12th. This qualification makes you eligible as a desk cadet, whereby your main roile would be maintenace of the ship and its function as well as guiding the staffs towards their duty. After this, there would be exams at various levels, for you to move up the ladder. Or else, you could directly opt for a Pre-sea training after 12th. DG Shipping has courses while on board that will help you get your necessary qualifications
  • Tourism: This is another indusytry, where you could fulkfill your wishes fo meeting new places as well as moving to new places. Here you could joibn as a "Tour escort". Here you could also join either Animal planet or National geographic channel. The basic qualkification is a deggree in tourism and a knoweledge of multiple languages
  • Archeology: After 12th, you could then opt for a course in Archeology. A 3 years gradute course. Archeology is mainly into excavations. Mainly related to finding facts about different cultures and existence by studying styructures, building etc. Again involves a lot of travelling.

Hope this answers your query.

Wish you good luck.............
