To take admission in MBA college, you must appear for CAT (Common Admission Test), itis a computer based test. And it scores a candidate based on Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR). After clearing the CAT exam, you will be called for the Written Ability Test and the Personal Interview.
Only after clearing the complete procedure you will be admitted to an IIM or any other reputed college. Clearing the CAT is very hard due to the high cut-off percentile, but it also requires good conversational, writing and interpersonal skills. Only then you would be able to get admission in an IIM. Apart from IIMs, there are a lot of other colleges which admit students on their CAT scores. Several IITs too have a Department of Management Studies and you can also complete your MBA from there.
