Dear Aspirant,

With BCom and MCA, you can definitely work in Banking sector.

You have two choices. You can appear for PO or Clerk exam conducted by IBPS based on your BCom degree. Based on MCA you can apply for Specialist Officer vacancies in nationalised banks, if there are vacancies announced. For Specialists, you require work experience mandatorily.

Indian Banking System has been undergoing with a drastic change as earlier there were the works that were done completely manually in the Banks but with the increase in Indian Trade and Commerce and a rapid use of technology has led the banks to undergo the change the systems.

Banking sector is one of the booming sector and also one of the promising career destination for the students aspiring to make their career.
Due to the introduction various extra services viz.Net Banking,Credit/Debit Card Services,Mobile Banking etc. provided to the customers have given a room for the students who are tech savvy and holds a good knowledge of both the banking system as well as of technology.

My friend definitely you have an option to get into the Banking Sector with the qualification that you hold.
So lets have an introspection to it:-


PO- Probationary Officer:-


1. IBPS CWE (PO/MT) for PSBs

Age Limit- 20-30 Years Educational Qualification- Degree in any discipline from a recognised                             university or any equivalent qualification

2. IBPS CWE (Officers) for RRBs ##

Age Limit-Officer Scale III - 21-40 yrs.              Officer Scale II - 21-32 yrs.              Officer Scale I - 18-28 yrs.  ***Educational Qualifications***-Degree in any discipline for General                          Banking Officers (50% for Scale II &III) & Degree / PG in a relevant subject for                        Specialist Officers as given in the notification. Experience also required for                   some posts.

3.SBI/SBI Associate Banks PO

Age Limit-21-30 Years                       Educational Qualifications-Graduation in any discipline from a                              recognised university / college

These are the posts where you can apply for throught IBPS. IBPS- Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a body which conducts the exams for various posts in the banking sector like Clerk,Manager,Special Recruitment's,Recruitment's to RRB, Insurance companies.

While you can also apply to Clerk exam too but considering your qualification i would suggest you to go with PO exams.
